Thekkady

Thekkady is a town near Periyar National park , an important tourist attraction in the Kerala. The name Thekkady is derived from the word thekku which means teak . Temperatures are lowest in the months of December – Jan . The wild life sanctuary in Thekkady spread over an area of 777 Sq.Kms, surrounded by an artificial lake over an area of 25 Sq.Kms.The Country's sole Tiger reserve, Thekkady, with its bountiful treasures of tropical flora and fauna is the ultimate reservoir of many an endangered species and a rich tribal culture. Thekkady is a pleasant heaven on earth for those who love nature in its wild manifestations.

Athirapilly

Athirapally Falls is a stunning waterfall that is located in the Sholayar Ranges of the Western Ghats in Kerala, India. It is surrounded by dense tropical rainforests, which add to the natural beauty of the falls. The waterfall is formed by the Chalakudy River, which flows down from a height of approximately 80 feet. Athirapally Falls is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kerala and is visited by people from all over the world.

Munnar

Munnar rises as three mountain streams merge - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. 1,600 m above sea level, this hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. One of the most sought after honeymoon destinations in Kerala, Munnar is replete with resorts and lodging facilities that fit a wide rage of budgets. Sprawling tea plantations, picturesque towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji. This flower which bathes the hills in blue once in every twelve years, will bloom next in 2030.
